Family Camping at Roosevelt Lake!

We had a great time camping and boating as a family! We decided to take the kids to Roosevelt and take the boat out and spend the night at the lake. We had a great time and had a very exciting adventure  being attacked by a swarm of bees!

The Bee Story!!
We had stopped for a swim after the kids had finished tubing and we turned around to get back on the boat when a huge swarm of bees came up. It was crazy! Hundreds of bees! We all jumped in the lake, luckily the kids had their life jackets on... Nate was able to grab one for me and he grabbed the knee board. There was a rope attached to the boat from tubing so we held onto our boat by the rope and swam away from the swarm.  The bees started to land on the tower and take over the boat all while more bees flew around us.  We had no idea what we were going to do. After a few moments of panic, we realized we were all fine and we could just wait it out hopefully. It seemed like an hour passed by and no one stopped to help us, so Payton suggested we say a prayer. I said a quick prayer asking Heavenly Father to let the bees fly away so that we could get back on our boat and drive away.  After the prayer, they started to fly away. Enough bees flew away so that Nate could get on the boat and swat the rest with a wet towel. Miraculously none of us were stung, even though we had a few land on us in the water! They were not aggressive towards us... it was almost like they just needed a rest! It was an amazing adventure and a great lesson to our children on the power of prayer!
