Beach day!

The sun finally came out enough to have a day at the beach! I love the beach, it's one of my favorite places to go with my family!

Legoland

Legoland was not on our agenda this year, but after some begging and pleading, and the fact that our friends were going too... we decided to give in and take the kids to lego land. To be honest... it is not my favorite place, but we figured Gavin was at the right age and then maybe we won't have to go again! :) 

Gavin's favorite part be far we getting his driver's license! He could not believe that he got it! He said to me "Mom, I  cannot believe I got me first drivers license, but I am not driving home!" I think he was genuinely worried we were going to expect him to drive us home! 

On the way out we walked through the Aquarium. It was fun to be able to see on our way out. It was a great day!

Picking Strawberries

 The Dottl's from our ward in Thousand Oaks were hanging out in Carlsbad for Spring Break too, so we decided to meet up with them. Nate and Jeff went golfing and Susanna and I decided to take the kids to pick strawberries! These strawberries are truly the best in the world! It was really fun to pick our own! It didn't take very long so then we decided to check our the museum of musical instruments! As we were walking in, the guys called and we decided to meet of lunch! IT was a really fun day!

Spring Break in Carlsbad!

We decided to spend some family time in Carlsbad this year for Spring Break. It was our first time doing something like this and it hopefully won't be our last!! Here we are on the first day exploring the area around our condo! It was right near the village! It was a little chilly, but it didn't matter to us!  We found a pay phone on our walk! Our kids had no idea what not was! So funny!
