Carp

We had a great time p[laying with friends! Sister Taylor taught the kids how to start a fire with batteries and flint and steel in preparation for girls camp. I was so bummed that we did not take a picture with both of our families with our RV, so I had to snap a quick picture before the kids went to school and I had to take it back. I will say that I did a really good job driving it!

The Candy Shop

Carpinteria has a fun candy shop that the kids like to walk to, so we decided to take a walk with some friends. We also found this really creepy old house.

Carpinteria 2016- Tide Pools

This year for Carpinteria we decided to share an RV with our friends the Taylors. It was such a good idea!! The kids had a blast, and it was great for the adults to have beds and the kids to be out in a tent! The first morning we heard that the tide was extra low so we walked to the tide pools. I absolutely love tide pools. I remember as a kid being fascinated by all the creatures. I wanted to be a marine biologist when I grew up. Anyway, we actually found a huge star fish. I couldn't believe it. It was the first time I had ever even seen a star fish in the wild. I think I was more excited than the kids. This one was even eating a muscle. It was very cool. There were a ton of sea cucumbers and Gavin got to hold some sort of sea slug. They kids had a great time exploring!

3rd Grade Pioneer Day

Owen had a pioneer day at school that I was able to come help for. It was fun, they had different games that they pioneer children might play. Here is Owen and his friend Jack arm wrestling. It was a close match, but ultimately Owen pulled out a win. They even switched arms and Owen still won. Of course Gavin came with me and he got to see his friends Leo and Ezra that are in the TK program.

Payton and her Puppy

Kylo has gotten pretty big. He loves to snuggle and will come and try to climb into your lap, even though he is way too big. He will also come and sit right on your feet if you are standing. He tries to get as close to you as he can possibly get! We love him!

Gavin's Team Party

Gavin absolutely loved Baseball with all of his friends from church! He especially loves his trophy! By the end of the season he could hit coach pitch instead of just off the T. It was a fun season!
